Patrol Division consists of many specialized areas: Community Policing, Directed Patrol, Patrol, and Accident Investigation. Each officer is assigned patrol duties and is a certified law enforcement officer in the State of Illinois. The Patrol Division is located in the Sheriff’s Office located 12 E. The Patrol Division is the principal provider of law enforcement and other related safety services to citizens of Perry County. The Division deploys Deputies on an around-the-clock basis over a 423 square mile area to promptly respond to emergency and other calls for service, preserve the peace, enforce state and other applicable criminal and traffic laws, investigate vehicular accidents and apprehend violators of the law.
